My art flows from Buddhist training and view.  The complexity and chaos in our lives shapes my art.  I attempt to deal with the world's outer chaos by creating work that echoes my inner struggle between peace and turmoil.  It's flowing graceful lines and simple structures are signposts along a path to inner peace.

I work in porcelain clay to fashion functional and sculptural art. Over the past two years I have focused on Chinese and Japanese art forms.  I have created Sake Sets, wabi-sabi tea and salad bowls sushi plates as well as western forms.  My newest work includes a series of wall mounted porcelain sculpture.  At times I am inspired to create very personal porcelain jewelry.

Working with porcelain gives me the opportunity to create thin graceful objects with unusual surface treatments. My vessels show the flowing grace of natural objects.  The porcelain jewelry includes broaches, pendants and earrings.  Often my sculptures express the pandemonium that we encounter every day.  Everything I create is hand crafted and unique.

I have studied ceramics in the United States at the Clay Studio, in Hungary at the International Center for Ceramic Art and in Canada at The Banff Center for Art.  I work at my studio in Elkins Park and show my work at Art Shows once or twice a year and by appointment 215-932-1361.
